I just started watching the new supernatural show from NBC – Midnight Texas – and I must confess, I like it. It vibes me into remembering a show I miss so much – True Blood.
Fantasy shows with strong ties into the supernatural are soon going to be rare; The Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, are no more, Teen Wolf is nearing completion, and long standing show, Supernatural, could be done any year from now.
Midnight Texas comes at a time when its genre is at risk. It boasts of notable stars from TV shows that have ended, such as, Dylan Bruce from Orphan Black, Arielle Kebbel from The Vampire Diaries, Peter Mensah from Spartacus, and many more.
Let me binge-watch up to where the show’s at, then I can return and give me full verdict. Until then… Midnight is the town to be.
As a big fan of Nina Dobrev from her work on The Vampire Diaries, I was so excited to see a trailer on YouTube bearing her name. Flatliners is a must watch for me, and I think you’ll love it too. Asides the excitement of having Nina on it, it bears credence to two genres I truly love: SciFi and Horror. Keep a date with it, September 2017.
Have you been following the BBC One series – Orphan Black? If yes, you’d very much love the idea of this new series. Seven sisters is set in what I can rightly call the future where the government have imposed a strict one child policy to help curb overpopulation among other inevitable disasters to still befall man. Naomi Rapace plays identical sisters – seven in number. Willam Dafoe plays their father who decided to keep his precious gifts a secret. He is successful until one day a grown up, Monday (the first of the girls) goes out and doesn’t return. The movie is sure to be explosive (no pun intended), the amount of explosions visible in the trailer seemed pretty much. Action is guaranteed. Seven sister all the day!
No released date has been announced yet. RR will keep you posted.
After teasing its production and order to series for several months, The CW finally released the first trailer for the new series yesterday. Click here to watch it.
From the trailer, the man we’ll come to know as the titular hero agreed to drop the mantle of hero for a simple life as a Principal for the love of his daughters and wife. But as things get worse in the community he picks up the mantle once again to set things right. It all sounds simple until reasons for his change of heart are been factored in, of which I can boldly say will have to do with the safety of his daughters.
This fall just got a whole lot more interesting on The CW. Though rumors now claim this show will exist independently of the other DC CW properties, but time ill tell for how long.
Fox released a trailer for the upcoming Xmen series titled, The Gifted. The story follows a family whose life begins to change. A man who haunts mutants suddenly discovers that his son and daughter are also mutants (newly discovered). He takes his entire family and goes on the run, banding with other runaways to survive.
The premise makes sense and I can’t wait to watch it.
