The Gentlemen: How Do You Sell A Drug Empire Without Complications? – A Review

Release Date: December 3, 2019

Starring: Matthew McConaughe, Hugh Grant, Jeremy Strong, Charlie Hunnam, Colin Farrell, et al.

This movie starts with a simple premise – An investigative journalist, Fletcher, hopes to blackmail a bodyguard, Raymond, into paying him 20 million dollars in exchange for a metaphorical (yet literal) screenplay that’ll save his boss, Mickey Pearson’s life.

Funny stuff, believe me.

How the game quickly turns around, reveals the key players, and reveals Fletcher isn’t really the one with all the chips is marvelous.

This Guy Ritchie movie has all the markings of a Quentin Tarantino movie.

Love it, love it, love it!

Among many other reasons why Interstellar is one of my all time favourite movie, it gave me Mathew McConaughe to fall in love with. In ‘The Gentlemen, he doesn’t disappoint one bit. His portrayal of crime veteran on the edge of retirement, Mickey Pearson, is phenomenal! The rest of the supporting are too, with special recognition to Charlie Hunnan and Henry Golding’s Dry Eye.

PS: Dry eyes. Phucc. Who the actual fuck named these characters? 😂
