Rinzy Reviews ‘Westworld’ Season 2 Finale

With the successful completion of its second season I’ve got to say: #Westworld is the most confusing show on air right now… But I still love it.

The storyline, plot twists and actions are explosive, mind-blowing and, sometimes, reality-warping… One might argue what did I expect from an HBO sci-fi show, 😂.

I had to watch the feature length season two finale twice to really understand the plot twists and convulated timelines. For those who might be afraid the show didn’t resolve most of its ongoing plot, fret not, for it did. We got a fitting resolution to the long running mystery of ‘The Door’, amongst others. Bad news is, to get to this end a lot of characters had to bite the dust. The debate is on for who and who would return next season, after all they’re hosts (robots).

PS: Even dead humans can return as hosts, as the show’s shown us time and again.

With the season two finale just aired, the long wait for what’s sure to be a refreshingly different third season has begun. #HBO, have mercy, don’t take too long, please.

If you still haven’t seen the season finale, go do so now! ⚠

And… If you’ve once tried Westworld and didn’t like it, please don’t bash it for others just yet; it only means the show’s too convoluted for you to handle at that point, doesn’t mean someone else can’t find it immediately intriguing,👌.

Rinzy Reviews ‘The Ocean’s Franchise’ (2001 – 2007)

In preparation for the highly anticipated release of the all-female Ocean’s 8, I recently re-watched the first Ocean’s trilogy, and came up with a few new thoughts.

Though not revolutionary, Ocean’s eleven was a beautiful movie. Released in an era where action movies were the in-thing (Lord of the rings, Tomb raider, etc.) it does deliver on all that was promised. The kind of movie that makes you leave the cinema happy… especially because its ending twists.

Fast-forward to Ocean’s twelve ⏩, and you see a problem. A big problem. One that’ll continue to plague Hollywood until someone decides to do something about it. An unnecessary sequel! Yes. I said it. Ocean’s twelve definitely wasn’t needed. And where it struggled and failed to uphold every spirit that made the first one captivating to watch, its successor did far worse. Yes. Ocean’s thirteen was a disaster.

With a simplistically silly plot, Ocean’s thirteen made the very talented lot of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon et al., look like idiots… especially my man Bernie Mac. 😔.

Luckily, the powers that be realized how much of a disappointment the last one was and decided in their limited wisdom (thank goodness) to release no more. 😇.

There’s a lot of pressure to get Ocean’s 8 right, and it’s quite understandable. If the powers that be at Warner Bros. fail to deliver with their exceptional cast, then they best know they’ve failed this city and deserve a visit from The Hood (Hello, Arrow fans? 😁).

What do you think?

Will Ocean’s 8 deliver?

How fast will you see it at the cinema?

Tell me, I wanna know… ♥.
